Ubiquiti AI Port is a specialized device designed to expand the functionality of IP cameras. It adds support for advanced AI features that can be accessed through UniFi Protect software. These include intelligent detection, classification, and recognition capabilities. With AI Port, you can enhance older, already installed G4/G5 series cameras with AI features that are otherwise exclusive to the G6/AI series. Moreover, the device supports cameras from other manufacturers via the ONVIF protocol, allowing you to connect them to the UniFi Protect system and benefit from AI functionality. In future firmware updates, AI Port will support multiple cameras—up to 5 UniFi Protect cameras, 3 HD ONVIF cameras, or 2 ONVIF 2K cameras. The device is equipped with gigabit Ethernet ports and supports PoE input and output for power delivery.

AI Feature Expansion for Cameras

AI Port enables you to extend your camera’s capabilities by adding AI functionality within the UniFi Protect dashboard. If your surveillance system is based on G4 or G6 series cameras, you can enhance their performance with advanced features. AI Port allows you to take advantage of intelligent detection, object classification, and recognition.

Support for Third-Party Cameras

The offered product supports not only UniFi cameras but also third-party solutions via the ONVIF protocol. This means that when connecting a non-UniFi camera to the UniFi Protect system, you won’t lose access to advanced management features. In future software updates, AI Port will support multiple connected devices—up to 5 UniFi cameras, 3 ONVIF HD cameras, or 2 ONVIF 2K cameras.

Gigabit Ports, PoE Support

The device features two 1G Ethernet ports—one input and one output. It requires a PoE power source and can directly power a connected camera. To utilize the camera power output capability, AI Port must be supplied with PoE+ (802.3at) or PoE++ (802.3bt) if the camera’s power consumption exceeds 12.95 W.
