Ubiquiti UNAS 4 is a NAS server equipped with 4 bays for 3.5" HDD hard drives. It supports RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, file encryption, snapshot creation, and many other useful functions. It has 1 × 2.5G Ethernet port, enabling high local network throughput, which results in faster file downloading and uploading. An additional advantage is the possibility of using SSD Cache; you can use an SSD drive with a maximum capacity of 2 TB. The device has a desktop-type enclosure and uses PoE+++ (802.3bt type 4) power supply; an appropriate power adapter is included in the set. The UNAS 4 also has an additional USB Type-C port that supports throughput of up to 5 Gb/s.

Inside the enclosure, you can install up to 4 HDD hard drives in 2.5" / 3.5" format. The manufacturer recommends using original or certified drives; the list of certified drives can be found on the official Ubiquiti website. Additionally, the NAS has 2 M.2 NVMe slots for SSD drives, allowing you to use SSD Cache. The server supports RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10, which makes it possible to further protect the entire system against drive failures.

2.5G Ethernet port, additional USB-C connector

The device has a 2.5G Ethernet port that provides higher transmission bandwidth than the commonly used 1G ports. This allows fast saving and downloading of files within the local network. The additional USB Type-C connector allows you to connect an external hard drive; the USB throughput is 5 Gb/s.

Desktop enclosure, PoE+++ power supply

The NAS has a small desktop-type enclosure; power can be supplied only via the Ethernet port using PoE+++ (802.3bt type 4). A suitable power adapter is included in the set; the device can also be connected directly to a switch that supports PoE+++.
