The Ubiquiti AirWire is a client adapter designed for Wi-Fi 7 networks. It supports wireless transmission in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, including Multi-Link Operation (MLO STR), allowing simultaneous operation on both frequency bands. The maximum theoretical wireless throughput is 10.1 Gb/s. The adapter connects to a computer via a USB-C port, enabling virtually any compatible computer to take advantage of the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology. The device features an integrated 11 dBi high-gain antenna, providing excellent wireless range and signal performance. Power is supplied through the USB-C port with USB Power Delivery (PD) support. The maximum power consumption is 18 W.
UniFi Wi-Fi 7 Client Adapter
The offered product is a Wi-Fi 7 client adapter designed for use with UniFi wireless networks. It operates simultaneously in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and supports STR MLO (Simultaneous Transmit and Receive with Multi-Link Operation), allowing it to transmit and receive data over both bands at the same time, rather than using only one band as in previous Wi-Fi generations. The maximum theoretical wireless throughput is 5.8 Gb/s in the 6 GHz band and 4.3 Gb/s in the 5 GHz band. The adapter enables a computer to connect directly to the latest Wi-Fi 7 networks without the need to replace its internal network card.

UniFi Wi-Fi Auto-Link
The device is designed specifically for communication with UniFi wireless networks and requires a UniFi Access Point (AP). It is not compatible with wireless networks broadcast by access points from other manufacturers. The AirWire automatically connects to a UniFi wireless network without requiring manual configuration. It is also compatible with older UniFi access points, although for the best performance it is recommended to use a U7 or E7 Series access point.
High-Gain Directional Antenna
The manufacturer has equipped the device with a high-gain directional antenna offering 11 dBi of antenna gain. The antenna can be aimed toward the nearest access point to achieve optimal signal strength and the best possible wireless performance.

USB-C Ports
The AirWire connects to a computer via a USB-C port and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. The wired connection uses USB-C Power Delivery (PD), which is supported by most modern laptops and PCs. When powered solely through USB-C PD, the AirWire operates in Standard Mode with a power input of 15 W. To unlock the device's full performance in Enhanced Mode, an external power source rated at at least 20 W must be connected to the dedicated AUX power port.
