The Ubiquiti Retrofit Hub is a hub designed for use with the UniFi Access system. Unlike standard hubs, it communicates over a 2-wire connection instead of Ethernet, making it much easier to modernize existing access control systems without replacing the previously installed wiring. The Retrofit Hub supports Ubiquiti OSDP readers from the Retrofit series as well as third-party readers compatible with the Wiegand interface. It can control the status of up to two door pairs. The hub supports either 12 V DC or 24 V DC power input, allowing it to be easily integrated into existing installations. The power supply is sold separately and is not included in the package. The enclosure is designed for DIN rail mounting.
UniFi Access Hub
The offered product is a hub designed for use with the UniFi Access system. It allows you to connect and control up to two door pairs. The hub supports door locks with dry-contact, 12 V, or 24 V outputs. It is an excellent choice for modernizing an existing access control system, as it allows you to match the required lock power supply while eliminating the need to replace individual system components.
2-Wire Reader Connection, Wiegand Compatibility
The Retrofit Hub allows you to connect readers using a 2-wire cable instead of Ethernet cabling, as required by most UniFi Access hubs. It supports the Wiegand standard and is compatible with many readers available on the market. When upgrading an existing access control system, there is no need to replace all installed readers, significantly reducing the cost of modernization. The hub also supports Ubiquiti Retrofit series OSDP readers.
12 V or 24 V DC Power Input
The device supports either 12 V DC or 24 V DC power input. The power supply is not included and must be purchased separately. The input voltage should be selected to match the existing infrastructure. A switch on the enclosure allows you to select between 12 V, dry-contact, and 24 V operating modes.
Alarm Interface
The additional alarm interface can be connected to a fire alarm or security alarm control panel. This allows the UniFi Access system to respond appropriately to events such as the activation of a fire alarm.
DIN Rail Mounting
The enclosure is designed for DIN rail mounting. The package includes a short DIN rail and mounting anchors, allowing the rail to be installed directly on a wall. The device is intended for indoor use only.
