The TP-Link SG105MPE is a switch from the Easy Smart series equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps). It features PoE+ output on 4 ports, supporting IEEE 802.3 af/at protocols. The maximum power per port, according to the standard, is 15.4 W for 802.3 af or 30 W for 802.3 at. The total power budget for all ports is 120 W. PoE+ power can be utilized in various popular applications, including connecting IP cameras, VoIP phones, or access points.
The device provides basic Layer 2 management. Access to the control panel can be obtained through a web browser (Web UI) or the Easy Smart Configuration Utility tool. The switch supports up to 32 VLANs, IGMP Snooping, link aggregation, and Quality of Service (QoS) features. The SG105MPE features passive cooling and a durable metal casing. It is designed for desktop mounting, either by placing it on a desk or shelf, or wall-mounting.
Multiple uses
The offered product supports PoE+, including IEEE 802.3 af and at protocols. These standards are widely used in telecommunications, including IP cameras, VoIP phones, and access points. This makes the SG105MPE suitable for numerous applications, both in small and large companies. The gigabit ports make it particularly suitable for access point networks.
Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 PoE+ (802.3 af/at) outputs
The switch features 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps). Ports 1-4 have PoE+ output supporting IEEE 802.3 af/at protocols. The maximum power per port is 15.4 W for 802.3 af or 30 W for 802.3 at, according to standards. The total power budget for the entire device is 120 W.
Plug & play
The SG105MPE is a plug-and-play device, meaning it does not require any initial configuration. Simply connect the switch to a power source, and it's ready to operate.
Layer 2 management
The device belongs to the Easy Smart series and provides basic Layer 2 management functions. Quality of Service (QoS) is used to prioritize network traffic to ensure adequate performance for essential traffic such as audio and video. IGMP Snooping optimizes multicasts, which is crucial in networks using IPTV. The switch allows configuration of up to 32 VLANs. Access to the management panel can be obtained through the graphical Web interface or the Easy Smart Configuration Utility program.
Simple management
The management panel is available in the form of a graphical Web interface or the Easy Smart Configuration Utility program. The device enables user monitoring and traffic tracking. Management is straightforward, featuring a clear and intuitive interface.
"PoE Auto Recovery" function
Thanks to this feature, the switch can remotely restart devices connected to power. The restart will be performed if the device becomes unresponsive. This function saves you time that you would spend manually restarting hung equipment.
Up to 30 W per port
Utilizing the IEEE 802.3 at standard, the maximum power output per port is 30 W. With a power budget of 120 W, the SG105MPE allows for each Ethernet port to be fully utilized without concerns about overload. You can confidently connect up to 4 devices using 802.3 at to the switch without worrying about overloading it.
PoE detection
The offered product automatically detects whether the connected device supports PoE power. It protects non-PoE devices from potential damage that could occur if power were supplied to them through the Ethernet port.
Desktop metal casing
The SG105MPE is enclosed in a durable, metal casing, providing excellent heat dissipation, which is essential due to the implementation of passive cooling. You can utilize desktop mounting (placing it on a desk or shelf) or wall mounting. However, wall-mounting screws need to be purchased separately.
