Descrizione

The TP-Link Deco BE85 is an access point designed for transmitting Wi-Fi 7 wireless networks. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 1376 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band, 5760 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band, and 11520 Mb/s in the 6 GHz band. Such high speeds are achieved through the use of the 802.11 be protocol, which includes high modulation (4K QAM) and wide channels (up to 320 MHz). Wi-Fi 7 introduces several useful features, primarily Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which allows simultaneous transmission across all three bands, significantly improving connection quality and throughput. To use MLO, both the transmitting and receiving devices must support this standard.

The offered product features 1 x 10G Ethernet port, 1 Combo port (10G Ethernet or SFP+), and 2 x 2.5G Ethernet ports. Each port supports WAN/LAN mode with automatic detection. The use of 10G ports allows for very high local network throughput, enabling fast file transfers and convenient internet use. The Deco BE85 is designed to work in a Mesh system, allowing it to wirelessly connect with other compatible access points to create an extensive network. As you move between devices, you will be automatically switched without losing connection.

The kit includes 2 Deco BE85 access points.

Wi-Fi 7 BE19000 wireless network

The TP-Link Deco BE85 enables the transmission of Wi-Fi 7 wireless networks. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 1376 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band, 5760 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band, and 11520 Mb/s in the 6 GHz band. The device provides significantly higher speeds than Wi-Fi 6E solutions due to the IEEE 802.11 be protocol. Wi-Fi 7 also offers lower latency and higher efficiency (throughput relative to frequency usage).

High throughput

The capabilities offered by the wireless network are very significant, especially in the 6 GHz band. The Deco BE85 allows you to fully utilize each device without limiting their speed. Additionally, the 6 GHz band is not as popular as the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, resulting in much less interference and consequently better performance.

Good transmission range

The access point offers excellent transmission range and, most importantly, maintains high throughput despite obstacles. This is made possible by the use of Multi-Link Operation (MLO), a feature that allows clients to connect to the network using all three bands simultaneously, rather than just one. Even when far from the Deco BE85, you can still achieve good speeds by combining the capabilities of all frequencies. It's important to note that to utilize MLO, the client device must also support this feature.

1x 10G Ethernet, 1x Combo (10G Ethernet / SFP+), 2x 2.5G Ethernet

The Deco BE85 features 1 x 10G Ethernet port, 1 Combo port (10G Ethernet or SFP+), and 2 x 2.5G Ethernet ports. Each port can function as either WAN or LAN, supporting automatic connection type detection. These interfaces enable very high local network throughput, which is important if you use demanding devices such as a NAS server. The inclusion of an SFP+ slot allows you to connect the Deco BE85 directly via fiber optic cable, which can be useful in certain locations.

An additional advantage is the USB 3.0 port. You can use it to create an FTP server, media server, or Samba server. This allows you to easily store and share files within your local network.

High quality

The device utilizes high-quality components to ensure seamless operation. For coverage, it features 8 integrated high-gain omnidirectional antennas. Additionally, the access point includes 12 signal amplifiers (FEM) to enhance signal strength. At its core is a powerful quad-core processor that ensures stable performance even under heavy loads. Active cooling is implemented with two fans located in the lower part of the enclosure, contributing to efficient heat dissipation.

Flexible connection

The Deco BE85 supports both wired and wireless connections simultaneously within a Mesh network. These connections are aggregated to achieve maximum network throughput. Additionally, the use of Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows for wireless connections across all bands simultaneously. The Wi-Fi communication between individual Deco BE85 units is significantly faster compared to solutions using older Wi-Fi 6E / Wi-Fi 6 standards.

VPN

The Deco BE85 can be used as a VPN server to create secure access to your local network while you're away from home. It supports OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP/IPSec protocols. The access point can also operate as a VPN client to connect to another server, supporting the same standards for this purpose.

Private IoT Network

You can separate the standard Wi-Fi network from the network intended for IoT devices using the Deco BE85. This setup ensures that all devices are secure and segregated from each other.

Modern Mesh network

A Mesh network created by the Deco BE85 features a unified network name. The system autonomously determines which access point (AP) a user connects to at any given time to ensure the best possible signal. The device supports seamless roaming, allowing devices to switch between access points without experiencing a drop in connection quality. This setup provides consistent and reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the designated area, enhancing the user experience by maintaining a stable connection as they move around.

The manufacturer has implemented advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, allowing the system to learn appropriate behavior. The network adjusts to users and over time provides even better quality than initially.

Simple management

You can easily manage the device using the Deco app. The initial setup does not require advanced knowledge and can be performed by any user. The app also allows real-time monitoring and observation of the wireless network's operation.

Voice control

The product offered is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can control the access point using voice commands through these platforms.

High compatibility

All access points in the Deco series are compatible with each other! If you already have older generation access points in your network, you can seamlessly add Deco BE85 to them. If this is your first set, you don't need to worry about compatibility in the future.
