The TP-Link Deco S7 is an access point designed for transmitting a Wi-Fi 5 network. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 600 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. This high speed is achievable thanks to the 3x3 MIMO configuration with MU-MIMO support, providing better throughput than competing Wi-Fi 5 devices. The product features 3 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), each of which can function as either WAN or LAN, with automatic connection type detection. The Deco S7 is designed to work in a Mesh system, allowing it to wirelessly connect with other compatible access points to create an extensive network. As you move between devices, you will be automatically switched without losing the connection.

Wi-Fi 5 AC1900

Mesh system

The Deco S7 can operate in a Mesh system alongside other compatible access points. Individual devices connect wirelessly using the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to create a stable connection. Optionally, you can use an Ethernet cable, but it is not necessary. The network transmitted by the Mesh system is visible under a single name, regardless of the bands used and the number of access points.

Roaming

The Mesh network is seen by the user under a single name, without separation by frequency or access points. The system automatically decides which device the user should be connected to at any given moment. As you move around the building, you are automatically switched between access points to ensure the best possible coverage. You will not lose network access during the switching process.

Up to 100 clients simultaneously

The use of 3x3 MU-MIMO allows the Deco S7 to support up to 100 connected devices simultaneously! This is crucial in many applications, especially in environments with numerous Smart Home solutions. It’s important to remember that Wi-Fi client devices include not only computers, TVs, and phones, but also various sensors and IP cameras.

Two operating modes

The device supports two operating modes: router and access point. The first mode is suitable if the Deco system is to create a local network in your home, while the second mode can be used if you want the Deco system to provide only a wireless network, with the local network managed by an external router.

Simple management

You can easily manage the device using the Deco app. The initial setup does not require advanced knowledge and can be performed by any user. The app also allows real-time monitoring and observation of the wireless network's operation.

Voice control

The product offered is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can control the access point using voice commands through these platforms.

High compatibility

All access points in the Deco series are compatible with each other! If you already have older generation access points in your network, you can seamlessly add Deco S7 to them. If this is your first set, you don't need to worry about compatibility in the future.
