The TP-Link Archer BE800 is a router that supports Wi-Fi 7. It uses IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 1376 Mbps in 2.4 GHz, 5760 Mbps in 5 GHz, and 11520 Mbps in 6 GHz. Such high speeds are achieved through the 802.11 be protocol (with a channel width of 320 MHz and modulation up to 4K-QAM) and the use of 4x4 MU-MIMO. Wi-Fi 7 introduces many modern features, including MLO (Multi-Link Operation) and Multi-RU. MLO allows simultaneous connections between the client and the router across all frequency bands, rather than just one as in previous standards. Multi-RU enables the allocation of multiple resource units (RUs) to a single user, which allows for full utilization of the available spectrum.
The offered product features 1 x 10G Ethernet port, 1 combo port (for either 10G Ethernet or SFP+), and 4 x 2.5G Ethernet ports. The 10 Gb/s interfaces can function as either WAN or LAN, while the 2.5GE ports are LAN-only. The Archer BE800 allows you to create a network with a backbone of 2.5 Gb/s or even 10 Gb/s, which is significantly faster than the 1 Gb/s commonly used in most networks. An additional advantage of the router is its compatibility with the EasyMesh standard, enabling the creation of a Mesh wireless network with other EasyMesh-enabled devices. This standard is supported by various manufacturers, so you are not limited to TP-Link solutions only.
Wi-Fi 7 wireless network
The TP-Link Archer BE800 enables the transmission of a Wi-Fi 7 wireless network. This modern standard offers significantly higher bandwidth compared to solutions using Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E. It also provides much lower latency and supports more devices connected simultaneously to the wireless network. Wi-Fi 7 introduces the MLO (Multi-Link Operation) feature, allowing a connection between the router and the client using all frequency bands at once (rather than just one), as well as Multi-RU, which enables the assignment of more than one resource unit (RU) to a user for sending and receiving frames.
BE19000 throughput
The maximum theoretical throughput of the Archer BE800 is 1376 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band, 5670 Mbps in the 5 GHz band, and 11520 Mbps in the 6 GHz band. The device offers significantly higher transmission speeds compared to Wi-Fi 6 / 6E solutions. This is made possible by the use of the IEEE 802.11 be protocol, including 4K-QAM modulation and 320 MHz channel widths, along with support for 4x4 MU-MIMO.
10G network
The Archer BE800 features 1 x 10G Ethernet port, 1 combo port (for either 10G Ethernet or SFP+), and 4 x 2.5G Ethernet ports. The 10 Gb/s interfaces can operate in WAN or LAN mode, while the 2.5G Ethernet ports are LAN-only. This device allows you to utilize 10G transmission, fully unlocking the potential of Wi-Fi 7. The use of 2.5G Ethernet ports enables you to base your entire local network on a bandwidth of 2500 Mbps, significantly higher than the typical 1000 Mbps. The SFP+ slot can be used if you want to create a connection using a fiber optic cable.
Additionally, the router is equipped with 1 x USB 3.0 port. You can use it to create a file server (e.g., FTP) or a Samba server.
Integrated screen
The device features an integrated display that can show over 3000 graphics, which you can customize. It also allows for displaying the current time, among other functionalities.
EasyMesh standard
The offered product is compatible with the EasyMesh standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This standard allows for the creation of a Mesh network using devices from different manufacturers. You can pair the Archer BE800 with any EasyMesh-enabled solution, so you're not limited to TP-Link products. The EasyMesh network is visible under a single name, and as users move around the house, they are automatically switched between access points. The Mesh network can cover very large areas, making it ideal for spacious homes and offices.
Separate IoT network
You can create a separate network dedicated to IoT devices, which is isolated from the main network. If someone manages to breach security and access the network through outdated IoT device software, they will not have access to regular users' data.
VPN server and client
The router can function as either a VPN client or server. In both cases, it supports OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, and WireGuard. VPN technology allows you to establish a secure connection to the local network, regardless of your current location.
Parental Control
You can block access to selected websites and allocate specific internet access time for users.
Notifications
The Deco app will notify you of any new devices connected to the network. You can easily disconnect suspicious devices and block them.
Easy Upgrades
With the automatic update feature, your firmware will always be up to date. You can be assured that the Archer BE800 has received the latest security patches, keeping your network protected at all times.
