The Ubiquiti G3 Reader is a reader designed for use in the UniFi Access system. When connected to the appropriate hub, it enables door opening and access control to a room. The device supports Touch Pass (unlocking by placing a phone), NFC cards/keyfobs, or a mobile app. It is one of the simplest readers, without voice communication capabilities, making it suitable for offices in rooms accessible only to employees. Using the accessories included in the set, the G3 Reader can be mounted on an electrical/mounting box; additional mounting accessories are also available for purchase. The device has one Fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mb/s), which also serves as the PoE (802.3af) power input; power cannot be supplied in any other way.
Reader for the UniFi Access System
The offered product is a reader designed to work with the UniFi Access system. It does not have a standalone mode and can only be used as part of the entire system. Full functionality requires connection to a compatible hub. UniFi Access is a broad and continuously expanding family of products dedicated to managing access to specific rooms and buildings.

Multiple Door Unlocking Methods
The device allows door unlocking via NFC card/keyfob, Touch Pass, or a mobile app. Using Touch Pass (unlocking by placing a phone with Apple Pay/Google Wallet) requires an additional fee; when purchasing the device, you receive a one-year trial plan that includes 10 Touch Passes (one Touch Pass can be linked to only one Apple/Google account).
100M Ethernet Port, PoE Power Supply
On the back of the housing, there is a Fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mb/s), which also serves as the PoE (802.3af) power input. The device cannot be powered in any other way. The G3 Reader is notable for its very low power consumption—5 W. It is designed for installation on an electrical/mounting box. If you wish to mount it directly on a wall, you must use optional brackets.
