Ubiquiti Reader Flex is a reader designed for use in the UniFi Access system. When connected to the appropriate hub, it enables door opening and access control to a room. The device allows the use of NFC cards/keyfobs, PIN codes, Touch Pass (unlocking by holding a phone near), or a mobile app. Thanks to its keypad and compatibility with PIN codes, Reader Flex is an excellent choice for office applications. It is significantly cheaper than solutions with a video intercom function and at the same time supports more features than the simplest readers. The device is designed for wall mounting, with additional mounting accessories available for purchase. The reader has 1 fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps), which also serves as the PoE (802.3af) power input, and power cannot be connected in any other way.
Reader for the UniFi Access system
The offered product is a reader designed to work within the UniFi Access system. It does not have a standalone mode and can only be used as part of the entire system. For full functionality, it requires connection to a compatible hub. UniFi Access is a broad and continuously expanding family of products dedicated to managing access to specific rooms and buildings.

Multiple methods of unlocking doors
The device allows unlocking doors using an NFC card/keyfob, PIN code, Touch Pass (unlocking by holding a phone with Apple Pay / Google Wallet), or the mobile app. The Touch Pass feature requires an additional subscription; when purchasing the device, you receive 10 trial subscriptions (valid for one year). One Touch Pass can be linked to only one Apple/Google account.
100M Ethernet port, PoE power supply
On the back of the housing, there is a fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps), which also serves as the PoE (802.3af) power input. The device cannot be powered in any other way. The Flex Reader stands out with very low power consumption—just 5 W. The reader is designed for wall mounting, with additional mounting brackets available for purchase.
