Cloud Gateway for the UniFi Ecosystem

The offered product is a Cloud Gateway—a router with an integrated controller—designed for use within the UniFi ecosystem. It supports the UniFi Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect applications. The device can manage up to 30 connected UniFi devices and support up to 300 concurrent users. Thanks to its high performance, it is well suited not only for home networks but also for many small and medium-sized business environments.

5G Mobile Connectivity

The device features a built-in 5G modem with maximum theoretical speeds of 3.4 Gb/s download and 560 Mb/s upload on 5G NSA, or 1.8 Gb/s download and 650 Mb/s upload on 5G SA. The UDR 5G Max is also backward compatible with 4G LTE and 3G UMTS networks. The maximum theoretical LTE throughput is 1.6 Gb/s download and 210 Mb/s upload. The enclosure includes two nanoSIM slots, and the UDR-5G-Max also supports eSIM. Please note that when using eSIM, the second nanoSIM slot cannot be used.

The mobile connection can be configured as the primary WAN, making it ideal for locations where traditional fixed-line ISP services are unavailable. Alternatively, it can be configured as a backup WAN, automatically taking over if the primary internet connection becomes unavailable.

Wi-Fi 7 BE10700

The Dream Router 5G Max features a built-in Wi-Fi 7 access point capable of broadcasting a wireless network across three frequency bands simultaneously. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical wireless throughput is 688 Mb/s at 2.4 GHz, 4.3 Gb/s at 5 GHz, and 5.7 Gb/s at 6 GHz. The wireless network is fully integrated with the UniFi ecosystem, allowing the Dream Router 5G Max to function as one of your UniFi access points. This reduces the number of devices required while providing seamless wireless coverage and centralized management.

1x SFP+ Slot and 4x 2.5G Ethernet Ports

The UDR-5G-Max is equipped with one 10 Gb/s SFP+ slot and four 2.5G Ethernet ports. Each interface can be configured as a WAN port, with support for up to four simultaneous WAN connections.

By default, the SFP+ slot and one 2.5G Ethernet port are configured as WAN interfaces. The device also supports WAN load balancing, enabling traffic to be distributed efficiently across multiple internet connections.

NVR Function

The offered product also functions as an IP recorder (NVR) within the UniFi Protect system. It can support up to 5 HD cameras, 2 2K cameras, or 1 4K camera. The device includes a microSD card slot with a pre-installed 64 GB memory card, which can be used for storing surveillance recordings. If needed, the storage card can be replaced with a higher-capacity one.
