The Ubiquiti UniFi Travel Router is a portable router designed for use with UniFi networks. Unlike most solutions, it supports standalone mode — it does not require a connection to a controller or a UniFi account. It features two Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and can transmit a Wi-Fi 5 wireless network. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. As an Internet source (WAN), you can use an Ethernet connection, a Wi-Fi connection, or USB tethering from an Android / iOS device. Combined with its compact size, this makes the UTR an ideal travel companion. The device supports VPN client functionality (OpenVPN, WireGuard), allowing it to securely connect to your local UniFi network. The offered product must be powered via the USB-C port. The input voltage is 5 V with a current of 2 A. The power adapter is not included in the package.
Wi-Fi 5 AC1200 Router
The offered product is a router that supports Wi-Fi 5 wireless connectivity and complies with the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. It enables smooth Internet usage, even when streaming high-resolution online content.
Unlike most devices in the UniFi series, the UTR supports standalone mode — it does not require a connection to a controller or the use of a UniFi account.

Three WAN Connection Methods
You can establish a WAN connection in three ways — using one of the 1G Ethernet ports, connecting to another Wi-Fi network, or using USB tethering from an iOS / Android mobile device. This allows you to create your own network regardless of your current location.
Portable Router
Due to its compact size and universal USB-C power supply, the device is ideal for travel. It allows you to create a secure network in many locations, regardless of the type of Internet connection available on-site. The router features low power consumption of up to 5 W, and when connected to a power bank, for example, it can operate for many hours.

VPN Client
One of the main advantages of the UTR is its ability to operate as a VPN client — the device supports OpenVPN and WireGuard, including the Teleport feature. This allows you to establish a secure and encrypted connection to your home UniFi network, regardless of your current location.
