D-Link DGS-3630-52TC/SI è uno switch gestito dotato di 44 porte Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mb/s), 4 porte Combo (a scelta tra Gigabit Ethernet o SFP) e 4 slot SFP+ (10 Gb / s) s). Il dispositivo ha un adattatore CA integrato, il consumo massimo di energia è 62 W. L'interruttore è dotato di raffreddamento attivo, all'interno ci sono 2 ventole, la cui velocità si adatta automaticamente alla temperatura. La capacità di commutazione è di 176 Gb/s e la velocità di inoltro dei pacchetti è di 130,95 Mp/s.

Lo switch ha una licenza Standard Image (SI), supporta la gestione completa di Layer 2, inclusi multicast (IGMP e MLD Snooping), protocolli Spanning Tree e supporto VLAN completo (incluso Q-in-Q). Nel livello Layer 3, supporta, tra gli altri, il routing hardware IPv4 / IPv6, il routing statico, RIPv1 / v2 / ng e IGMP / MDL Filtering. Facoltativamente, è possibile acquistare una licenza Enhanced Image (EI) che introduce BGP, VRF-Lite, OSPF, Super VLAN e L3 Multicasting o MPLS (MI) che aggiunge i protocolli IS-IS v4/v6 e MPLS.
