2 gigabit Ethernet ports (1x WAN, 1x LAN), external power supply

The UniFi Express has two gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), including 1 WAN port and 1 LAN port. The device can function as a router and supports a DHCP server.

Power is supplied by an external 5 V DC power adapter. The gateway is equipped with a USB Type-C port, and the maximum power consumption is 10 W.

Wi-Fi 6 AX3000

The offered product enables Wi-Fi 6 transmission, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band.

Thanks to its ability to transmit a wireless network, you can use one less access point in a given location. Within the UniFi network, you can deploy more than one Express device, and the communication between them will function just like between standard APs.

Advanced management

The gateway supports advanced management features useful in large, complex networks. SD-WAN enables convenient connection of different remote locations (sites), which is essential for companies with multiple branches. The Dream Machine Pro Max supports VPN servers - OpenVPN, WireGuard, and L2TP, and also supports site-to-site VPN. Each user connecting to the network remotely can use a secure connection. The implemented firewall further enhances network security and protects against external attacks. Additionally, you can use network quality diagnostics, allowing for early detection of potential issues.

Usage

The UniFi Express is perfect for homes and small offices. In such locations, it can simultaneously serve as a router, gateway, and access point, reducing the costs of building the entire system. Its gateway performance allows it to support up to 4 other UniFi devices and up to 50 users.
