Cloud Gateway for the UniFi Ecosystem

The offered product is a Cloud Gateway—a router with an integrated UniFi controller—designed for use within the UniFi ecosystem. It supports the UniFi Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect applications. The device is capable of managing up to 50 connected UniFi devices and supports up to 500 concurrent users, making it an ideal solution for small to medium-sized deployments.

Wi-Fi 7 BE5000

The UCG-Industrial supports integrated Wi-Fi 7 wireless networking. It operates using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be standards on the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be standards on the 5 GHz band, delivering maximum theoretical wireless speeds of up to 688 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 4.3 Gb/s on 5 GHz. By integrating Wi-Fi directly into the Cloud Gateway, you can reduce the number of standalone access points required in your network.

Wireless coverage is provided by external omnidirectional antennas. The package includes two sets of antennas: shorter antennas with lower gain (3 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5 dBi at 5 GHz) and longer antennas that provide extended coverage (6 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 6 dBi at 5 GHz).

1x SFP+, 1x 10GbE Port, 4 × 2.5GbE Ports, and 5 PoE Outputs

The device is equipped with one 10 Gb/s SFP+ slot, one 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, and four 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports. It supports multiple WAN connections, allowing up to five WAN interfaces to be configured simultaneously. When more than one WAN connection is in use, the gateway provides load balancing to distribute network traffic and automatic failover, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity by redirecting traffic if one WAN link becomes unavailable. By default, the SFP+ port, 10GbE port, and one 2.5GbE port are configured as WAN interfaces.

All Ethernet ports provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) output, including three PoE+++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 4) ports and two PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) ports. Each PoE+ port can deliver up to 30 W, while each PoE+++ port supports up to 90 W. When powered by the included power adapter, the gateway offers a total PoE power budget of 270 W.

NVR Functionality

The Cloud Gateway Industrial also functions as an IP video recorder within the UniFi ecosystem. It can support up to 15 HD cameras, 8 2K cameras, or 5 4K cameras. The device features a microSD card slot, allowing surveillance recordings to be stored on a memory card. A 128 GB memory card is included with the device.

The offered product is a unique Cloud Gateway that stands out from other models thanks to its enclosure design, dual power inputs, and PoE output available on every port. It is an ideal solution for scenarios where internet connectivity is provided through an external device, such as a 5G modem or Starlink terminal. Thanks to the PoE output on the WAN port, you can eliminate the need for an additional power supply. Additionally, the UCG-Industrial features two SIM card slots designed to work with the UniFi 5G Max Outdoor. In this configuration, the UCG-Industrial powers the external 5G device while also simplifying SIM card replacement, without requiring the removal of the 5G unit, which may be installed in a difficult-to-access location, such as a rooftop.
