The Huawei S380-S8T2T is a gateway from the eKitEngine series. It combines the functions of a router and a managed Layer 3 switch, equipped with 2 WAN ports (gigabit Ethernet) and 8 LAN ports (gigabit Ethernet). The maximum switching throughput is 16 Gb/s, with an egress throughput of 2 Gb/s. The S380-S8T2T can support up to 300 users and offers support for DHCP server/client, DNS client, PPPoE client, ACL, and NAT. Management can be done via a graphical web interface, application, or SSH. The device supports WAN bandwidth balancing based on IP address and connection. All WAN ports can be utilized simultaneously. The enclosure is rack-mountable in a 19" rack, with passive cooling. The gateway comes with a built-in AC power supply, with a maximum power consumption of only 10.55 W. The S380-S8T2T is well-suited for small networks where it can function simultaneously as a router and the primary switch, reducing overall network construction costs without sacrificing management capabilities.

10x gigabit Ethernet

The device is equipped with 10 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), including 2 WAN ports and 8 LAN ports. The switching throughput is 16 Gb/s, and the packet forwarding speed is 500 Kp/s during transmission and 420 Kp/s during reception. The S380-S8T2T serves, among other functions, as an efficient switch.

Built-in controller

The S380-S8T2T can serve as a controller (WAC) for eKitEngine access points. You can connect a maximum of 64 access points and up to 300 users simultaneously to the device. These capabilities are fully sufficient for small and medium-sized networks.

Router functionality

The offered product also functions as a router, supporting NAT and DHCP server functionalities. An additional advantage is the load balancing feature, allowing you to utilize multiple WAN ports simultaneously. This ensures that your network is protected against potential outages from any single operator.

Management is conducted via a graphical Web interface, an application, or through SSH. The software enables you to monitor the network's status and diagnose any issues that may arise during its operation.
