Uplink V1600XG02-W is an OLT terminal equipped with 2 Combo ports, each of which simultaneously supports XG-PON and XGS-PON transmission. The throughput per port depends on the technology used: XG-PON allows speeds of 10 / 2.5 Gbps (downstream / upstream), while XGS-PON provides symmetric 10 / 10 Gbps. The maximum split per port is 1:256, but the manufacturer recommends keeping the maximum split at 1:128. Thanks to the Combo function, you can connect both XG-PON and XGS-PON terminals at the subscriber’s end, giving you great flexibility.

What’s more, the V1600XG02-W is equipped with an integrated GPON multiplexer, enabling GPON transmission to be introduced into the fiber. This way, you can easily upgrade an existing network to XG-PON / XGS-PON. All you need to do is connect the transmission from your existing GPON OLT terminal to the multiplexer, and then the fiber will carry signals in all three standards simultaneously—GPON / XG-PON / XGS-PON. Existing subscribers will continue to operate on their current ONTs, while new ones can be equipped with XG-PON / XGS-PON devices offering higher data packages.

For uplink interfaces, the manufacturer has implemented 2 × 1G Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 2 × SFP+ slots (10 Gbps). For communication, you can use the Ethernet port (out-band), console, USB-COM, or USB. At the back of the chassis, there is an AC power supply with a standard computer socket. The OLT can be managed using a graphical Web interface or a terminal.

2 × 1G Uplink Ports, 2 × 10G Uplink Ports

The OLT terminal is equipped with a total of four uplink ports, including 2 × 1G Ethernet ports and 2 slots that can accommodate either SFP (1G) or SFP+ (10G) modules. The device offers flexible connectivity options while providing high throughput, sufficient to fully leverage the capabilities of XG-PON / XGS-PON. For management, four ports are available: Ethernet out-band, console (RJ45), USB-COM, and USB.

Graphical Web Interface

Uplink OLT devices stand out with their graphical management interface. The management system has been valued by administrators for years due to its ease of use and the lack of need for external EMS graphical systems. It also greatly simplifies the deployment of solutions in networks where passive optical networks have not previously been used. Management can also be performed via the command line.

AC Power Supply, 19" Rack-Mount Enclosure

The V1600XG02-W enclosure is designed for installation in a 19" rack, with a height of 1U. Inside the enclosure, there is an AC power supply equipped with a standard computer socket.
