Huawei MA5801-GP16 is a GPON OLT terminal enclosed in a small 1U casing. It has 16 built-in GPON ports, the set includes class C + modules. 4 SFP + slots with a capacity of 10 Gb/s are responsible for the uplink, if necessary, you can also use ordinary SFP modules in them. OLT is equipped with two AC adapters, the maximum power consumption is only 140 W.
GPON OLT terminal (16 ports)
The offered product enables broadcasting GPON network transmission, has 16 ports equipped with C + class SFP modules (SC/UPC connector). Each port supports the maximum split of 1:128, so you can connect up to 2048 subscribers to the MA5801-GP16. The signal between clients should be split using optical splitters (remember to keep an appropriate power budget). The throughput per port is 2.5 Gb/s (to the client) and 1.25 Gb/s (from client).
The product includes GPON C+ optical modules with an SC/UPC connector. It is the most popular type of SFP providing the appropriate power budget - Tx between 3 and 7 dBm and Rx in the range down to -32 dBm.
1U chassis, 4 SFP + (10G) uplink slots, AC power supply
The device has been closed in a small casing adapted to installation in a Rack 19", height of chassis is 1U. It has 1 fan module and 2 AC power modules. The maximum power consumption is only 140 W, much less than in the case of large, modular terminals.
OLT is equipped with 4 uplink SFP + slots with a capacity of 10 Gb/s. If necessary, you can use ordinary 1G SFP modules in them. Such a large bandwidth will be sufficient to service all subscribers.

In these areas, the MA5801-GP16 can be used together with various optical modules and the one-stop outdoor site solution to implement rapid FTTH network coverage over long distances. In areas where no feeder fibers are routed, the product can be used together with the microwave backhaul solution to implement highly reliable FTTH network access over long distances.
Private Line Access in Enterprise Campuses, Supporting Flexible Deployment and Management
Operators can use the product to construct, operate, and maintain optical networks on enterprise campuses. Alternatively, operators can lease optical networks to campuses or enterprises to provide all-optical access services for enterprise campuses.
Working Principle
Control module: It is the core of the system control and service switching and aggregation. It can also function as the management and control core of the integrated network management system (NMS).
Upstream module: It can provides four 10GE/GE upstream ports.
Service processing module: It works together with the optical network unit (ONU) to provide GPON access services.
Interface module: It supports functions such as input and output of alarm digital parameters.
Clock module: It supplies power to each functional module of the board.
Power module: It provides clock signals for each functional module of the board.
